Johnathan McRary is a dedicated board member at Place of Hope North Georgia, with a strong desire to help children and families in need and a proven track record of making a positive impact in his community.


Johnathan and his wife, Tonia, have lived in Rabun County for 16 years. Tonia is a native of the area, having grown up on Kelly’s Creek, and the couple met while attending Georgia Tech. They have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. Johnathan is an active member of Clayton Baptist Church, where he draws inspiration from the scriptural call to care for orphans and widows and is eager to put those values into action through his work.  While Johnathan has no previous non-profit experience, he brings a wealth of skills and expertise to the board. He has held various management positions in the supply chain and logistics industry, where he has honed his skills in strategic planning and leadership. He is also a respected member of the Rabun County community, actively supporting local organizations and advocating for causes he believes in.  As a board member at Place of Hope North Georgia, Johnathan is dedicated to expanding the organization's reach and providing crucial support to vulnerable children and families. He understands the challenges that many families face and is committed to using his skills and experience to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
