Our Services

Respite Care THROUGH CARE COMMUNITIES

We organize care communities to provide loving and structured support of foster families. Our goal is to surround each foster family in the area with much needed assistance through partnership with local churches.

Family Visitations

We facilitate family visitations locally to encourage family reconciliation and parent/child healing. This prevents families in crisis from having to travel great distances.

SUPPLY Closet

One of the easiest ways to help families in need, is by donating your gently used clothing and supplies such as backpacks or luggage. Place of Hope partners with First Impressions and maintains a clothing / supply closet in order to provide for the basic needs of foster kids. Each child entering care receives a backpack filled with necessities.

Transitional
CarE

We will provide a short-term, home-like environment and staff for transitional care of children who are removed from their birth family before a placement is finalized. Our goal is that no child spends a night in a hotel room or DFCS office during transition.

As of August 3rd, 2020, we are providing visitations through the facilities of Clayton Baptist Church. When the 81 Derrick Street home is remodeled, Place of Hope North Georgia will expand services to include transitional care. We are targeting September 1, 2022 to open the home.

Our long-term goal is to expand our capabilities with additional homes and provide an array of educational services that strengthen families, improve parenting skills, and empower children for brighter futures. Please join us to achieve these goals.
